L’Escaut targets the production of architecture, scenography and landscape projects as cultural forms. Cultural dimensions develop from human dynamics, situated processes, relations with society and from a specific territory and its history. Based in a former industrial building, the architecture office occupies the 2nd floor while the ground and 3rd floors are dedicated to artistic practices. The 1st floor, equipped with a kitchen and a large table, brings together all the inhabitants for meals, a daily ritual that also gives a moment of breathing space in a life under pressure.
