Auguste Orts is an initiative of Herman Asselberghs, Sven Augustijnen, Manon de Boer and Anouk De Clercq, and is a platform addressing questions held in common by these artists on autonomous production and distribution. Sharing a profound interest in film and audiovisual arts, they seek to establish an appropriate context for their work – not always easy due to the connections they make between cinema, video, visual arts, documentary and experimental film. Auguste Orts has also been lending its support to other artists, producing and distributing a yearly ‘external’ project.
